[livejournal.com profile] stash_throwdown is up. Y'all can join. I thought it would be a good place to post plans, pictures of stash, etc. It was fairly easy for me to go through my stash and assign projects to things because I  have a small stash. Because of my tendency to take apart old dresses, I have more fabric than I thought I would. I was also REALLY sad to find I do not have enough Autumn Gold linen to line the skirt of my orange gown. Balls. So going through my stash, I've come to realize I need a red linen (but not tomato red), pink linen (like Salmon),  and yellow linen. I'd need at least 5 yards of a yellow, and 4 yards of everything else. Now that I've clarified. Oh boy. I also realize I have a really cool wool that could suit those early period types, but I can't recall exactly how much I had. It's a black and white check woven. I'm not sure exactly how to describe it.

And the more I look through the Ropa pattern I have, the crankier I get. I cannot believe I spent money on it. I should have revised THAT for my Tech Writing class. As of 2004, anyway, it was riddled with typos and hard to follow. . . ugh. I think I am going to do a loose gown in the German style, if I can look at Alcega and see what [livejournal.com profile] etaine_pommier  means. Or I'll just start out light, and start out with a longer gollar.

For crown, I'm just going to keep plugging away at my corset. As it is, I have two dresses I can wear so it's not like I'll be naked if i don't finish the outfit I *really* want to wear. I'm glad to say I've found a happy home for all my viking stuffs. Including the pimp coat. Hehe.
