So out of 7.95 yds of wool, I was left with 7.3 yards after washing it. After I cut out my pieces for my loose gown, I was left with roughly 4.1 yards of wool. This is probably because I am not doing hanging sleeves - just wings.
I *think* I may have enough for a dress. This excites me. This is the first time I think I've been happy about being short!
As soon as I hear back from Greenman Forge, I am ordering a pinking tool. Now that I've got the padding stitch down, things are progressing quickly. Now to cut out the pieces for the front!
ETA: I mean I know I can pink the wool and have the lining show, but there's also the extant example with the hanging sleeve lining that is pinked. I know this is different, in my case it won't show all the time but I think it could still look cool. I guess I will figure it out when the time comes.
