I am probably the last to know about these cookbooks. I found two Dutch cookbooks online - The First Printed Dutch Cookbook (Het eerste gedrukte Nederlandsche kookboek 1510) and Good and Noble Food (Wel ende edlike spijse, second half of the 15th century), which I think someone linked to once on LJ but I can't remember who or even when, even though it really would have been like 1 of 4 people.
I've been toying around with the idea of getting cooking because really, who doesn't like food? Would anyone be interested in getting together on a weekend and cooking - kind of like Sewing Saturday, but more like "stuff yo' face saturday?" We could do it at the Silver Desert collegium, even! Oh man, that sounds fun.
Anyone?
Oh, and in regards to the wool issue - she responded that it was her boss who told her it was 100% wool and she would have to talk to her. I will keep you posted, she said she'd let me know tomorrow. I am perfectly happy to keep it now that I know it is nylon and not poly since nylon doesn't melt and smell like poo when it burns. But it was to end up around $6.49 a yard. . . and not $8.50.
